A classic 6 ft park bench with a slatted backrest, the kind you’ll find in parks, plazas and streetscapes. Benches are some of the most downloaded site elements on 3D Warehouse. This one is built from a handful of components, so it stays light even when you place dozens along a path.
What’s in the model
- End frames: two black cast-iron frames, 2½ in thick, each with a front leg, a seat rail and a rear post that leans back about 15° to carry the backrest. They sit 6 in in from each end.
- Seat: four 72 × 3½ × 1½ in slats with small gaps, giving an 18 in seat height and about 17 in of seat depth.
- Backrest: three 72 × 3½ × 1½ in slats fixed to the leaning posts. The top of the bench is 33 in.
The end frame, seat slat and back slat are each one component, so recoloring or resizing one updates every copy. Every part is a solid group.
How to use it
- Download the .skp file, then use File → Import to add it to your model.
- The component origin is at ground level at the front-left corner, so it sits flat on a paving surface. The seat faces the −Y direction (toward the front of the model).
- To change the slat color, open the component and paint one seat slat and one back slat. All the others follow.
